Charlevoix Middle/High School Oct. 8, 2015

Parents and community members are being alerted that all students and staff are safe at Charlevoix Middle/High School, as a lockdown was called around 12:50 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 8.

A phone call to 911 caused law enforcement to request the lock down and arrive at the school to assure all students are safe. The exact nature of the call is not known at this time, although all students and staff are safe and are in no way in any harm.

School Superintendent Mike Ritter and Principal Suzanne Klinger again assure all parents and community members that all students and staff are safe and no issues are found to be at the school. They are grateful for the quick response by law enforcement who also confirm that no threats have been found at the school.

Parents are urged to remain calm – as students and staff are safe – and additional information will be forthcoming.
