Athletic Pay to Play Information

Welcome to another great season of Rayder Athletics! Over the last six months we have experienced a number of changes including the consolidation of our Middle School into the Elementary and High Schools.  We feel this change will positively impact our athletic program by having all 7-12 students together under one roof.  Coaches and students are very excited about the opportunities ahead.

Another change you will see is a Participation Fee for all student athletes.  Given our budget difficulties and the enormous cost of maintaining all our athletic programs, we are initiating a Participation Fee for the 2013/14 school year.  Below is a break-down of the cost:

High School (Grades 9-12)

$100 per sport/ $250 a year maximum per student athlete/ $400 a year maximum per family ​          ​        ​                        Reduced lunch $50 per sport/ $125 a year maximum per student athlete/ $200 a year maximum per family                          

Free lunch…free participation (Please contact the MS/HS office to determine eligibility)

Middle School (Grades 7-8)

$75 per sport/ $175 a year maximum per student athlete/ $300 a year maximum per family

Reduced lunch $37.50 per sport/ $87.50 a year maximum per student athlete/ $150 a year maximum per family

Free lunch…free participation (Please contact the MS/HS office to determine eligibility)

Participation Fees must be turned in to your coach or the main office (with Payment Information below) in order to be eligible for the first contest.  Please make checks payable to Charlevoix Public Schools.  We understand that times are tough all over, but see this as an opportunity to be able to maintain and run at the highest level, all our current offerings.  In addition, the majority of schools in our conference as well as MHSAA are now charging participation fees.
