Flying Through the Dewey Decimal System

Since February in Mrs. Culver's elementary school media center, the fourth grade students have been learning about the Dewey Decimal System of organizing nonfiction books. The activity involved them getting a pilot's license by completing five tasks, some of them very hard. Once they completed these tasks they were allowed to fly a paper airplane in a contest; seeing which plane flew the farthest. The winner in each class won a $25.00 gift certificate to Round Lake Book Store.
